Change. Transform. Thrive
Kelsey is a Canadian Certified Counsellor, has a Master of Counselling Psychology degree from Athabasca University and an undergraduate degree in Education. Her education, integrated with life experience and pursuits as both a yoga teacher and practitioner, ignites her passion for working with others in a supportive, nourishing way that helps them realize their full potential. Kelsey grounds her counselling practice with an attachment-based perspective and evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, internal family systems therapy, and existential therapy. Under the umbrella of trauma-informed care in the counselling space, Kelsey deeply values: safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration, empowerment, and non-judgment, and she endeavours to bring these qualities into each session with clients. Kelsey specializes in working with adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples.
Kelsey can help clients who are struggling due to:
By using elements of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, internal family systems therapy (IFS) and existential therapy, Kelsey collaborates with clients in a holistic manner to identify areas in their life that require care and compassionate attention. Kelsey acknowledges that oftentimes, challenging experiences create wounds. These wounds can lead to a forgetting of oneself, creating feelings or thoughts of being isolated, alone, stuck, or disconnected. Disconnections like this can reveal themselves as anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, relationship issues, grief, unhelpful coping mechanisms (i.e., addictions) and low self-esteem. Kelsey strives to support others to recognize and remember their inner wisdom, while empowering them to determine the possible influence of external factors including conflictual relationships, power dynamics, and societal systems. As clients begin to heal old wounds and shift their awareness to their inherent wisdom, Kelsey can support individuals in living their preferred life path.
